The Intro to Nose-Work Class (Interior) - Part 1 Includes:

All dogs have an amazing sense of smell.  With this 6-week class, we will show your dog how to hone in on this amazing ability AND work them out both mentally and physically. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog!  Nose Work is also one of the fastest growing dog sports in the country.  This introductory class is a great way to get started!  You can learn more about the sport of Nose Work here: www.nacsw.net.  In this class, dogs will be hunting for food hidden inside boxes, containers and throughout the interior of a room. Each week the dogs will be expected to work out increasingly difficult puzzles designed to increase their confidence, hunting ability and odor obedience. You will also receive weekly reviews containing tips on how you may practice at home.  Only one dog will work at a time, and all other dogs must be crated or secured in the car.  Crating dogs in between turns gives them a much needed rest, as Nose Work can be very taxing.  Dogs who are reactive to other dogs are welcome, but must wear a red bandanna.  However, this class is not appropriate for dogs who are people reactive/aggressive or have a biting history.  We are happy to work with these dogs individually.

Course Requirements: Dogs must be comfortable being in a crate or secured in a car waiting their turn
